The gourmet restaurant Noma has been ranked the best Restaurant in the World four times by British Restaurant Magazine.
Chef Rene Redzepi excels in Scandinavian cuisine. Superb products is brought in from Iceland, the Faeroe Islands, Greenland, and of course Denmark.
Redzepi has worked at famous El Bulli in Catalonia, so it comes as no surprise that the food here is exceptionally good. Located in a renovated harbour-front warehouse in Christianshavn, noma's setting is an extra appeal.
Book in advance
It comes as no surprise that Noma is a popular place to dine in Copenhagen. There is often a couple of months' wait on getting a table, so book in advance for a world-class gastronomic experience.
Denmark's best-known restaurant, Noma, closes in the end of December 2016, but opens again in 2017.
In an interview with New York Times Chef Rene Redzepi said the following:
"It took us a while to figure this all out. Like I said, we’ve been planning for the change for years. That’s why it’s great for me to announce that at the end of December 2016, we will run our last service at Noma.
Because we are moving to an incredible new space as we continue to build our community and figure out what it means to be a cook in this region. To keep exploring food and flavor, in a new place where we can dream. A place where we can build a farm right in the city. Where we can grow our own food, a place where we can keep pushing."
