The Ring Route

In a way, one can compare the Route 1 with the famous Route 66 in The United States.

Route 1 is Iceland`s main road also named the Ring Road. Here you just drive along the Ring Road, without taking any smaller routes, supplies you with fantastic scenery.

The characteristic Iceland

Iceland has hardly any trees so on bright days the view from your car stretches endlessly towards fields, picturesque farms, waterfalls, mountains, beaches, the sea, lakes, glaciers, hot springs, fjords, small villages, islands - all dotted with birds, sheep, cows, horses and reindeer.

Tour planning

The Ring Road of Iceland can be driven with stops at many amazing attractions in just 7-9 days. Add 2-3 more days and you can also see the magnificent Westfjords.
