Make a stopover in the middle of the idyllic Danish countryside at Tyrstrup Kro.
Tyrstrup Kro is situated in idyllic surroundings near fields and woods only a few kilometres from the gingerbread town Christiansfeld in South Jutland.
Nearby you will find one of Denmark`s top heritages the Moravian Church Settlement.
However, Tyrstrup Kro is more than 350 years old, and it came into existence because the farmers wished to have a bite to eat when they gathered to perform their duties in the sowing and harvest time. Annette and Torben Schultz have been the owners since 1987, and they have made many efforts to restore the old inn to cover the modern traveller's needs and demands.
Tyrstrup Kro has 27 cosy rooms all of which with bath, toilet, TV and wireless Internet. 15 of the rooms are luxury suites with spa. The rooms are situated in a new hotel building from 1998.
The cuisine is first-class and the inn has a rare selection of fine old wines. The Inn has a great reputation and many guests come from far away to have a fine meal and enjoy a well-provided table in the cosy restaurants. Lunch is usually served in Pejsestuen, whereas Jægerstuen is the gourmet restaurant of the inn which is furnished in a classic style with, among other things, a Meissner tiled stove from 1890.
