A romantic hotel with unique details.
Hotel Park is a family-run hotel where the modern and the traditional come together beneath sparkling chandeliers. Fantastic antiques and treasures contrast with modern art on the walls. Everything on display has been handpicked by the owners. The atmosphere is comfortably intimate, yet with all that Bergen has to offer within easy distance.
The hotel’s two buildings date from around 1890 and are located in quiet surroundings on Nygårdshøyden, which in the 1900s was considered one of Bergen's most fashionable areas. The University of Bergen is nearby, making it easy to combine romance and intellectual pursuits! What about a visit to the University Museum's Natural History Collections, followed by a romantic stroll through the botanical gardens? Or a gourmet meal at the historical restaurant Hanne på Høyden after viewing the Cultural History Collections?
Each of the 35 rooms is individually designed and characterised by an elegant combination of antique and modern. The breakfast buffet has a homely touch, and complimentary tea, coffee and home-made brownies are served throughout the evening in the intimate dining room.
The University area is rich in cultural heritage, knowledge and nature. The VilVite science centre, Fløibanen funicular, Fisketorget and Bryggen are just a short distance away.
