UKK Hiking Trail

One of the greatest hiking trails leads across Finland.

This trail in the northeast part of the country goes through Salla and Savukoski's municipalities and crosses through Tuntsa Wilderness Area. Part of the hiking trail is wilderness, and this section of the trail includes rough and grand landscape, Peaks and the river Naruskajoki in the lowlands.

If and when you decide to visit the trail, some advice is necessary to follow. Sections of the UKK trail can be enjoyed even by inexperienced hikers. It is short parts, and they are relatively well marked.

The UKK Trail is a summer hiking trail. Proper clothing and footwear are essential, and it is always good to leave an itinerary behind for security for safety reasons.
