One of the greatest hiking trails leads across Finland.
This trail in the northeast part of the country goes through the municipalities of Salla and Savukoski as well as crosses through Tuntsa Wilderness Area. Part of the hiking trail it totally wilderness, and this section of the trail including rough and grand landscape, Peaks and the river Naruskajoki in the lowlands.
If and when you decide to visit the trail, some advice is necessary to be followed. Sections of the UKK trail can be enjoyed even by inexperience hikers. It is short parts and they are relatively well marked. For longer parts, you have to be in very good shape and orienteering skills, because of the rough nature.
The UKK Trail is a summer hiking trail. Right clothing and footwear are important, and it is always good to leave an itinerary behind for secure for safety reasons.
