Visit one of the oldest and largest open air museums in the world.
Not far from the centre of Copenhagen you can go on a tour through historical Danish traditions and culture at The Open Air Museum. The buildings, gardens, domestic animals and objects present Denmark’s history from 1650 to 1940.
It is an impressive living exhibition showing the conditions in which people lived and their culture up until the middle of the 20th century.
Get a taste how the country life was, the farmer and the lord of the manor. See how they slept, the food, and how they worked.
The houses are perfectly recreated both outside and inside, so you get a close impression of how it was.
Throughout the season the Open Air Museum arrange events, and it is an absolutely recommended attraction with children too.
