In Oslo you can discover the stories about the famous Nordic Vikings.
At the Museum you will find the best preserved Viking Ships in the world called Oseberg and Gokstad. There is also a third boat named Tune, but it is only a few boards and fragment left back.
All ships are built in the 9 century. All three ship were excavated from the Oslo Fjord region between the end of the 19th century and the start of the 20th.
In addition to the three ships, the museum has put on display recently about some of the skeletons found in the boats.
The museum is located in Bygsøy peninsula. In the summer season, you can find a small ferry service operates to Bygsøy peninsula.
