The official languages in Greeland called “Kalaallisut”. It belongs to the Inuit-Aleut family of languages that is spoken by some 80,000 people in Greenland, Canada and Alaska.
Related to Greenland history Danish was the official languages until 2009, and still the primary schools in Greenland teach Danish.
The young generation in Greenland is more educated and speaks good English. In the tourist information’s you will also find services in French and German.
